On the 32nd of May, a day gifted to the world by Baron Munchausen himself, an exhibition dedicated to this legendary character and his real-life counterpart, Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Munchausen, opened in the Small Hermitage Manege. This exhibition combines historical facts with fantastical adventures, narrating the baron’s time in Russia and his remarkable exploits.To create this unique exhibition, our company, NIKO Digital Prod., implemented a series of multimedia solutions that transformed the visit into a true adventure. We designed animated calligraphic texts for mirrored panels and projections that complement real images on the walls. The project also includes a circular mapping projection with cherry blossom flowers, created using neural networks and complementing a wall composition featuring a large deer’s head, as well as an animation of the newspaper «Petersburg Gazette», where illustrations of mythical creatures come to life on the pages.Of particular note is our application for the interactive installation «Cannonball Flight». Using a sensor-equipped torch, visitors can «fire» from an authentic mortar, sending the hero soaring over 18th-century landscapes. This feature not only brings historical facts to life but also blurs the lines between reality and literary fantasy, immersing visitors in a captivating journey through the pages of the famous baron’s life and adventures.

32 мая, в день, который барон Мюнхгаузен подарил миру, в Манеже Малого Эрмитажа открылась выставка, посвященная легендарному персонажу и его реальному прототипу, Иерониму Карлу Фридриху фон Мюнхгаузену. Экспозиция объединяет исторические факты и фантастические приключения, рассказывая о пребывании барона в России и его выдающихся подвигах.Для создания этой уникальной выставки наша компания NIKO digital prod. реализовала ряд мультимедийных решений, которые превратили посещение экспозиции в настоящее приключение. Мы разработали анимированные каллиграфические тексты для зеркальных панелей и проекции, которые дополняют реальные изображения на стенах. В проект также включены круглая маппинг-проекция с цветами вишневого дерева, выполненная с помощью нейросетей и дополняющая настенную композицию с большой головой оленя, а также анимация газеты «Петербургские ведомости»» где иллюстрации мифических существ оживают прямо на страницах.Особого внимания заслуживает наше приложение для интерактивной инсталляции «Полёт на ядре». Используя пальник с датчиком, можно «выстрелить» из самой настоящей мортиры, отправив героя пролетать над ландшафтами XVIII века. Этот элемент не только оживляет исторические факты, но и стирает границы между реальностью и литературной фантазией, погружая посетителей в захватывающее путешествие по страницам жизни и приключений знаменитого барона.
