Read. Rethink. Redraw.
READRAW — Turn Information into Understanding
READRAW transforms passive reading into active thinking through visual journaling, collage, and structured note-taking. By combining cognitive learning strategies with creative practices, the project helps people extract meaningful information, connect ideas, and develop their own visual language.YOU READ. YOU FORGET. YOU REPEAT.
The cycle of passive learning
Start with a specific scene or case that can be imagined and «seen.» The more observable detail there is, the lower the defensiveness and the higher the engagement. Don’t rush to conclusions—let the example resonate as an independent experience.
Step 3. Synthesis
Подняться от частного случая к общему принципу или идее
Show what general principle or pattern underlies the given example. Connect the particular observation to the broader picture. The generalization should expand understanding, not merely retell the story.
Step 4. Icon
Предложить более точную, широкую или глубокую интерпретацию
Find an image or metaphor that captures the generalized meaning and is easy to recall. A symbol acts as a container for an idea—it simplifies memorization and transference to other contexts. Ideally, the image should be visually representable or concisely describable.
Step 5. Finale
Зафиксировать универсальный смысл и оставить образное послевкусие
Return to the studio concept and link it to the original example and the overall takeaway. Capture the essence in a brief, evocative phrase. The conclusion must leave not only a thought but also an image that holds it in memory.
