NEVERMORE
Calligraphy Series

The project is based on Edgar Allan Poe’s poem «The Raven, ” where the word NEVERMORE—meaning „never again”—becomes an obsessive response to the hero’s questions.I explore how a single word can sound different when its calligraphic form is manipulated: scale, pressure, rhythm, density, and legibility. The primary materials are paper and black ink. The result is a series of original calligraphic compositions.
Concept
A Single Word, Countless Inflections

Voron repeats the same response. Its meaning hardly changes, but each time the protagonist hears more in it—melancholy, fear, hopelessness.
In my work, this change is conveyed not through new phrases, but through the alteration of letterforms. A word can be restrained, sharp, anxious, or heavy—and gradually approach abstract graphics.
Method
What Changes in a Single Word

Elongated letters, dense and dry areas

The lines bleed, the word transforms into a plastic form.
