Description
Photograph from the «Path» series — about the spaces we move through every day, barely noticing them. A late-evening platform, twilight, a lone figure walking along the train, and the departure board shows only one minute: 18:58 and 18:59. In this pause, the familiar route suddenly becomes visible. Glossy acrylic deepens the turquoise shadows, transforming the frame into a glowing window on the wall: the image stands off the surface, seeming to float—like a platform suspended between arrival and departure.

Characteristics
For this work, the 40×60 cm format was chosen: its 3:2 proportion matches the frame, allowing the entire composition to be preserved—from the dark columns on the left to the receding train. At this scale, the human figure remains small against the backdrop of the distant tracks and wires, which emphasizes solitude within the vast infrastructure. The time display only becomes noticeable upon closer inspection, and this act of the viewer mirrors the character’s movement along the platform. A large 100×150 format would have turned the quiet, minute pause into an overwhelming panorama. The intimate 40×60 is perceived as a luminous window into which one wants to peer.
For printing, the original photo file (5180 × 3454 pixels) was used. The image has been scaled to the final size without cropping; the shadows have been slightly adjusted to account for printing on Fujicolor Crystal Archive DP II photo paper. The file was prepared in TIFF format with parameters corresponding to the selected physical size.
