In May 2026, we received a commission to design the set dressing for Maria Zakharova’s graduation collection shoot, «Carry your wings.» Our task was to create light, movable scenery that would convey the concept of a fashion line centered on the free, dreaming individual.
Our team decided to create a set location featuring moss-covered mountain rocks. For the shoot, it was important to instill in the models the air of romantic heroines who feel confined by the earthly world. We achieved this through the contrast between the heaviness of the surrounding landscape and the lightness of the human form. The naturalistic quality of the set dressing and the organic textures also significantly contribute to the mood and the overall quality of the shoot.
We divided the tasks within our team for effective workflow. Bogdan Ivanov was responsible for modeling the rock geometry and ensuring the structural integrity of the set pieces. Arina Kryukova handled material sourcing, color palette development, and moss application to the rocks. Vladislava Skobeleva managed the detailing, rock painting, and transportation of the set to the shoot location.
