«Am I a trembling creature, or do I have a right?»

This is exactly the key question of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky’s novel ” Crime and punishment.» This work is rightfully included in the list of world-class literary treasures and is considered the greatest cultural heritage of our country.

In my poster, I reflected the mental anguish of Raskolnikov, the main character of the novel. And symbolically showed how his world «splits» into before and after the commission of the crime.

Punishment hung over him in the form of an axe, the same weapon he had used in the atrocity.

The text shatters like splinters, and the hero’s thoughts form a confusing and unclear lump to himself.

There is a common beauty in every difference. The poster visually explores the beauty and power inherent in recognizing differences. The central image of a figure made of paper with a checkered texture, stylized by elements of outfits of different nationalities, symbolizes a unique cultural heritage capable of representing a universal idea. The soaring white dove highlights the desire for peace and unity, and the background with the recurring phrase «HARMONY OF MULTIPLE» sets the leitmotif of multicolour and diversity.
