Political and economic news, official chronicles and incidents, commentary and forecasts, rumors and denials, culture, and sports—this is 1917, precisely as it unfolded for its contemporaries. We know what happened next. They do not yet! The sheer density of possibilities for this «what comes next» was so immense that almost every day required making a choice, paralyzed by anxious anticipation—would it turn out to be the right one?
The presented project is by no means a guide or a questionnaire for studying «lessons in history.» In essence, it is itself an answer to a single question: does freedom—freedom of choice and will—exist? The answer, however, is different for each of us.
