The project presents alternative titles for the film «City of God,» reimagined through a Russian context. I embedded them in urban textures and everyday objects—newspapers, advertisements, cigarettes—to emphasize that social issues and the environment shape similar stories in any city.
The main idea of the titles is to use the image of the city to demonstrate that a «city of God» can emerge in any country. If social problems are ignored, the environment begins to foster violence and a vicious cycle, regardless of geography.
The plot is built on a sense of looping and entanglement—attention constantly returns to different parts of the same place. This emphasizes the idea that the main characters are in the same environment, but perceive it differently, and are unable to escape it.
