Project Mission
I was tasked with comprehensively preparing both the visual and technical elements for Blanc Space Gallery’s participation in ART RUSSIA. This required bringing disparate source materials into a unified system, adapting them to the gallery’s existing visual identity, and preparing all components necessary for the professional presentation of artworks in the exhibition space.
A crucial part of the assignment was not to develop a new design, but rather to maintain stylistic continuity and adhere precisely to the client’s previously approved aesthetic. Simultaneously, it was necessary to account for the actual dimensions of the artworks, the specific requirements for placing them on the stand, and the needs of accompanying materials.

The assigned task
The project involved preparing for the Blanc Space Gallery’s participation in the ART RUSSIA contemporary art fair. The gallery showcased works by Rostov artists, including pieces connected to the tradition of the Severe Style. The project’s mission extended beyond the commercial presentation and sale of art; it aimed to promote Rostov painting, introduce a wide audience to lesser-known artists, and draw attention to their creative output. It was crucial to present the works in a professional exhibition format and to create a cohesive visual space that would allow the viewer to perceive the pieces as a unified exposition.
Personal Role
In this project, I was responsible for the comprehensive visual and technical preparation of the exhibition display. My role encompassed working with both digital assets and the physical exhibition space. I independently prepared presentation materials, processed original images of the artworks, developed the technical layout plan for placing the paintings on the booth, and created a 3D visualization of the upcoming exhibition. For every piece, I accounted for real-world dimensions, selected and calculated the appropriate framing, and determined the precise placement of the artworks within the space.

Furthermore, I handled the preparation of supporting documentation: certificates of authenticity, artist signatures, and a separate price list. At every stage, I maintained direct communication with the client, promptly implemented revisions, and assisted in resolving issues that arose during the preparation process. Thus, my role extended beyond merely designing the materials; it involved coordinating the visual aspects of the project, designing the exhibition layout, and preparing all elements necessary for its realization.
Solutions I Implemented
Throughout the project, I had to independently find solutions for several practical and visual challenges. One of the main difficulties was the low quality of the source images of the artworks, so I developed a processing and preparation workflow for the materials that ensured they could be used in presentations, printing, and exhibition displays. To accurately plan the exhibition, I developed a technical layout for placing the works on the stand and created a 3D visualization. This allowed me to pre-assess the composition, scale, and placement of the artworks in a real space. Separately, I calculated the frame sizes and adapted each piece to the intended framing.

For precise exhibition planning, I developed a technical layout schematic for placing the works on the stand and created a 3D visualization. This allowed me to pre-assess the composition, scale, and placement of the pieces within the real space. Separately, I calculated the frame dimensions and adapted each piece to the anticipated framing.
I also organized the supporting materials—certificates, work descriptions, and the price list—bringing them into a unified visual format that aligned with the gallery’s existing style.
All decisions were made while accounting for tight deadlines, the client’s requirements, and the necessity of maintaining the project’s visual integrity.

Accomplishments
The project was fully prepared for participation in ART RUSSIA on a tight deadline—the bulk of the work was completed in about two weeks. The visual and technical solutions I developed were implemented in a real exhibition space and used to design the Blank Space Gallery exhibition.
All necessary materials for presenting the works were prepared: stand visualizations, artwork placement diagrams, image styling, certificates of authenticity, captions for the paintings, and a price list.

The client highly praised the result, specifically noting the speed with which I completed a large volume of work, my responsiveness, constant availability for communication, and willingness to assist with any questions that arose during the preparation process. Upon completion of the project, the work I delivered was paid for by the client, which further confirms its professional and commercial nature.
