The total installation exhibition took place in the «Transit Zone» space in Zelenogorsk from July 10th to July 31st.

During the off-season, the Zelengorsk area and the Primorskoye Highway rarely see the sun—in the autumn, spring, and winter, streetlights have to take on the workload. Electricity, like all of us, sometimes needs a vacation from intensive work—this summer, thanks to the abundance of sunny days, Zelengorsk transforms into a popular spot for vacationers, and the lamp lighting has found a restful retreat at the bus stop. Throughout the installation’s operation, you have the opportunity to visit and try to wake it up through the windows of the «Transit Zone.»

A feature of the exhibition space is that it is located inside an active bus stop with large windows. Therefore, the exhibition is primarily meant to be viewed from the outside through the windows while waiting for the bus.

An interactive system was specifically developed and programmed for the exhibition’s installation, allowing electricity to be activated in various ways. Viewers were invited to call a pre-programmed telephone, and by pressing certain buttons, different elements of the installation would light up. A final press would trigger the entire light sequence complete with sound accompaniment.
