As part of the FilmART Connect competition and the «Creative Design» course, I created posters exploring various Hungarian films.
One of my posters was recognized by the competition organizers. My poster, designed based on the movie «Larry,» was selected to be featured in an exhibition in St. Petersburg. The exhibition took place in September 2026 at the Design School’s Cable Center.
Speaking about the concept behind the poster, I drew inspiration from the image of sheep that the film’s protagonist is forced to herd for a living, with his own figure replaced by a splash of paint. Surrounded by sheep, this abstract image appears alien, emphasizing the hero’s sense of isolation and his inability to become part of the world in which he lives. Expressive brushstrokes and dynamic typography complete the composition, conveying the character’s internal anger and emotional tension.
