This project is our final assignment within the first-year art practice, supervised by Andrey Punin. We were tasked with developing an interactive art object for the «KaranDash Fest» festival, which was held in the Staritsa city of Tver Oblast—the hometown of the clown KaranDash.
The concept for the art object, «Pencil Arena,» originated while studying the scene «In the Park,» which featured the clown Pencil. We paid special attention to the background sounds accompanying the action—these became the vital thematic foundation of the project. Our task was to synthesize these sonic experiences with the circus atmosphere and materialize them into a single interactive object.
