«Beyond the Threshold» — an exhibition by the VEREJA brand at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts, presenting the brand’s mythology through costumes, installations, and handcrafted objects. The exposition unveils Rei’s fictional world, created by the brand founder Igor Andreev, unifying fashion and art in a single space.
I was involved in the preparation of the exhibition, working at the intersection of costume and spatial design. My role was not only to assist with the physical realization of individual elements but also to ensure that the costumes and installations interacted organically with the space and were perceived as parts of a single project.

During the exhibition preparation, I contributed to refining knitted garments and installations, as well as designing the exhibition space. I worked directly with the objects during the exposition preparation phase: helping to bring them to their final state, overseeing the details, and participating in the practical realization of the conceived visual solution.

Project Continuation: Moscow Fashion Week
On September 28th, the pieces displayed in the exhibition were featured in the «Keepers of Rei» show at Manege as part of Moscow Fashion Week. The show combined archival brand work, new looks, music, and performance, transforming the VEREJA retrospective into a living representation of Rei’s world.

Here, my work continued within the context of the show, where the costume needed not only to maintain its artistic expression but also to adhere to the specific features of the model and the runway conditions.
I participated in the refinement of costumes before the show, assisted during fittings, and worked directly on the set with the models and garments. During the preparation of the runway looks, I checked the fit of the costumes and made necessary adjustments, including right before the show.
This project allowed me to gain experience in fashion across two formats—exhibition and runway. As part of the exhibition, I was involved in creating a visual environment that integrated costumes, installations, and space. During Moscow Fashion Week, I continued to work with the garments, adapting them for specific models and presentation conditions.
The main outcome of my involvement was acquiring practical experience in realizing an artistic concept in real-world settings. I witnessed how a costume changes its perception depending on the context: in an exhibit, it interacts with space and other objects, while on the runway, it is revealed through movement, the model’s physique, and the dynamism of the show.
