The art object «Milokonog» was created for participation in the «Art Farm of Tsarskoye Selo» project, which received the «Silver Archer» award in 2026, winning in the category of «Territory Development and Promotion.»
The art object is based on an ordinary triangular milk carton, and the story is told in accessible and universally understandable language with elements of gentle nostalgia.
Project Goal: Creating an art object for the «Farm» exhibition in Tsarskoye Selo.
Key Focus: The art object is a reinterpretation of a familiar subject. A Soviet-era carton of milk becomes a zoomorphic character that evokes a smile and a feeling of nostalgia.
Realization: An art object, two meters in height, was created by Darya Artemyeva, Marfa Lyublinskaya, and Yana Butonova. The Lactose creature is constructed from wooden plywood, lumber, screws, putty, and paint.
Workflow
Achievements: The art object was featured in the «Farm» exhibition in Tsarskoye Selo, which won the «Territorial Development and Promotion» award. Additionally, the dairy animal was exhibited at a large family festival in Park 300-letiya.
Coordination with HSE: This project was completed as part of my studies at the HSE Art and Design School and was realized in collaboration with the exhibition organizers.
